Thank God for our differences. I love that this world, this country, heck, even the street I live on is diverse. Fred may enjoy Badmitton alongside Bart, but Bart doesn't like to eat green beans like Fred. Yet, Bart enjoys swimming and so does Pam, whom doesn't like country music which is Bart's favorite genre.
We all have similarities... but I am really thankful of our differences...
A girl in choir told me I should check out Beyonce's new song, "Halo" and I informed her I didn't listen to pop or r&b or whatever the heck genre she is.. and the girl persisted that it was really an awesome song.
So I set my standards of music aside, pulled up youtube and kept an open mind to "Halo"... unfortunately, I didn't get half way into the song before I had to turn it off.
We are different..
I mean.. I don't understand why every female athlete who plays a college sport wheres a ponytail and sweatpants everyday. I like my jeans... And great for me, my mother thinks I dress like a bum (her words) while I think she cares too much about her outer image.
We are embedded with ideas and logic and styles that are all our own.
God is the greatest artist.
Period.
He created a world of beauty and order and then gave us free will. He decided to put a little abstract and surreal spin on His glorious painting... by putting man in charge. Of course by now His canvas has been torn and shredded by His own creation... but He still thinks its the greatest work He has accomplished.
So lets embrace our differences for the greater good. Don't conform to a society that wants to tear at the canvas a little more. We need to radiate in rich hues.
We, the disciples of Christ, were called here to save humanity as it tries to kill itself. I really don't think God would keep sending His servants and children into this world if it didn't have some hope left. If it was hopeless, He would have come for us all by now. But instead He comes through us...
He used His hands to create us uniquely, lovingly and beautifully...
so let us use our hands to glorify Him in return.
